IN UNISON: God our Provider, we walked into church today needing you in different ways. Some of us need strength because we are facing a big challenge. Some of us need hope because we feel like giving up. Some of us need love because we are feeling alone. We trust that you will provide for us, whether through words or music, or in a quiet moment of reflection. You are here, you are with us. Amen.

TEFAP: A shout out to the Cornhole Tournament participants who graciously donated $272 to our Douglass Food Bank this past weekend. Please sign the sheet in the Lobby if you can help from 9:00 – 11:00 am on July 24th.

Free Covid Vaccine Walk in Clinic at the Public Library: 1st dose of Pfizer (12 yrs+) Friday, July 9th from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m., 2nd dose Friday, July 30th from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. Or Johnson & Johnson (18 yrs+) offered at both clinics. Prize offerings – 2-$500 and 10-$100 cash prizes. Contact Derby Drug at 316-788-6669 to book your appointment or walk-ins are also welcomed.

Blood Drive: A blood drive will be held at the Church of Christ on July 10th from 10:00 to 3:30. Volunteers are needed for the check in process, contact the church office for info. Or if you can donate, please drop by the Church of Christ.

Ice Cream Social: Augusta United Methodist Fellowship Hall on July 11th 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Join in on an early evening of ice cream, games, music and fellowship!

Baby LeBlanc: If you would like to contribute to a Welcome Baby Gift for Josh & Shannon LeBlanc, they would welcome diapers/wipes, etc for their new baby boy due in July. Please bring gifts to church prior to July 18th.

VBS at Douglass First Christ Church on July 19th to 23rd: Ages 4 years to Grade 7 (completed). Theme: Discovery on Adventure Island, Quest for God’s Great Light. Register at the door each night.

Back to School Caring & Sharing Event: A school supply distribution for Douglass and Rose Hill Schools will be held on Monday July 26th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Christian Church in Rose Hill. Items needed: Wide notebook paper, Adult scissors, 3” D- Binders, Facial Tissues, Washable Markers, Plastic Folders, Scientific Calculators, Ear Buds and Baggies. Monetary donations are always appreciated.

Open Door: The United Methodist Open Door needs volunteers to do office jobs, distribution of food and work at the Klothes Kloset. Contact is Tim Stead at 316-267-4201 or 316-265-9371.
