United Women in Faith

Did You Know?

Our United Women in Faith group is responsible for hosting a variety of different events through the year such as their Mother & Daughter Luncheon in the spring and their locally famous Candy & Cookie Sale during the annual Christmas Around Town Shopping Event.

The ladies of the UWF also do “A United Women in Faith Minute” once a month during our worship service.

All women are welcomed to take part in the activities of the United Women in Faith!

The Purpose of the United Women in Faith
The United Women in Faith are a community of women whose purpose is to know God and experience freedom as a whole person through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; to reach out serve our community; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Monthly Meetings are held, during the school year, on the first Saturday at 9:00am in fellowship hall. After breakfast we will have a program followed by a short business meeting.

METour
The Mission and Education tour is a project of the United Women in Faith of the Kansas West Conference. The Kansas West Conference is the only conference of the United Methodist Church that offers this tour.

The Kansas METour is a 10-day tour, for young women ages 15-22, that visits a variety of mission agencies, institutions, and schools, which are sponsored, by the United Methodist Women and the United Methodist Church. The purposes of this tour are to:

  • To inform young women of the mission and outreach of the United Methodist Church.
  • To acquaint young women with opportunities for church-related occupations.
  • To provide for spiritual growth through worship, singing, association with staff and members of the tour.
  • To encourage fellowship and fun.
  • To provide an opportunity for becoming acquainted with dedicated persons who are working in missions.
  • Check with your local unit President for the current application or contact your District Youth Activities person.
