The Douglass United Methodist Church or DUMC for short is the United Methodist Church in the town of Douglass, Kansas. Douglass is a small, quiet community located in the Southwestern part of Butler County along Highway 77. Our church has a lot to offer from Worship to Church Choir. If you are in the area on Sunday Morning, stop in and join us for Fellowship and Worship. Sunday services are normally lead by our Pastor, Dan Ferguson.

This Week's Announcements

  • Progressive Dinner: Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 15th for our progressive dinner. More details will be given at a later.
  • Trunk or Treat: This event will take place on Saturday, October 29th at the Community Building.
  • Disposable Diapers Needed: We have grandparents in our community who are unexpectedly raising four grandchildren. Our church family can be of great help by providing some disposable diapers. Coupons and/or size 4 disposable diapers for an 18 month old would be appreciated. Please bring them to the church. For more information, please contact Sheryl Brotton.
  • UMW Meeting: The Douglass United Methodist Women meeting will be held Saturday, October 1st in Fellowship Hall. Please see the weekly bulletin for details on the UMW District Meeting. Point of contact is Cheryl Wilson.
  • Christmas Shoeboxes: Let's start collecting items now for our Christmas shoeboxes. Point of contact is Paula Klotz and flyers are in the Lobby that list the best gifts for boys and girls.
  • Douglass High School Football Team Dinner: On Thursday, October 20th, we will provide dinner in the Fellowship Hall for the DHS Football Team.

Weekly Announcement Phone Calls

Each week, Pastor Dan and/or Larry Darter will send out a phone call to people who are signed up. These calls talk about upcoming church events & community happenings. Pastor Dan will call occasionally and tell what he will be talking about in "The Word Proclaimed" section of our service. If you are signed up to get these calls and you are not getting them or you would like to get these calls, please ask Larry Darter or call the church office at (316) 747-3134.

Wednesday Night Dinner

Every Wednesday at 5:30 PM, We will host our Wednesday Night Dinner. Join us in the Fellowship Hall for a great meal made by members of the congregation. If you have any questions, please contact the church office at (316) 747-3134.
